About the artists:
Sam Weinberg is a saxophonist, composer, and improviser living and working in Brooklyn, NY. His active projects include W-2 (with Chris Welcome), BLOOR(with Andrew Smiley and Jason Nazary), Maestro Day (with Henry Fraser and Joe Moffett), and music for solo saxophone. Other improvised collaborations and projects are many and varied and include the likes of Ben Bennett, Jaimie Branch, Sandy Ewen, Weasel Walter, Brandon Seabrook, Mike Pride, Chris Pitsiokos, Ben Gerstein, Mark Morgan (Sightings), and many others. Henry Fraser (b.1991) is a bassist and composer based in Brooklyn, NY. Henry’s work oscillates around established genres of music, polarized by his exhaustive solo double bass improvisations and the myriad, yet haunting, songs of The Full Salon. Henry has toured throughout the US, Europe, and South America, collaborating with Anthony Coleman, Brandon Seabrook, Sam Weinberg, Charmaine Lee, Carlo Costa, Ryan Power, Chris Pitsiokos, Axel Dörner, Mike Pride, Weasel Walter, Tony Malaby, Mat Maneri, Francisco Mela, Joe Morris, and many others.
