About the artists:
Nik Nak, the solo project of Sydney-based artist/musician Nick Wishart, creates immersive live visuals and electronic music using a new instrument called Round Sounds. Sydney based and with a practice that jumps between circuit bending and creative coding, ṈìkṈáK is also the evil genius behind cult band Toydeath!
Barren Symmetry is the current experimental musical project of Tom Callahan. He is a the son of a holy rolling preacher and was raised in a trailer park. He holds no degrees. Although early projects were heavy metal, exposure to industrial music through Mary Margaret Brown and the Crazy Mama’s crowd, the mashups of Trademark G, and experiences of trance and altered state changed his vector. He was heavily influenced by experiences at The Fuse Factory to start experimentation in the realm of noise and experimental improvisation.
David Reyburn (aka 238) is an electronic musician and DJ active in the Columbus area. He focuses on spacious, textural works built from field recordings and experiments in the studio. Instruments used include a Model D synthesizer, 808 drum machine, Ableton Live, and various modular hardware. He is currently working on his debut release.
