October 2025 Frequency Fridays

  • October 3, 2025
  • Location: Old First Presbyterian Church
  • Frequency Fridays, Live performance

Details:

On the evening of Friday, October 3rd, we proudly presented hybrid/networked performance group Sonic Network Arts Project (CMH), experimental electronic musician/instrument builder Tim Kaiser (MN), improvisational musician Chris Weldon (CMH), and a duo between inmprovisers John and Paul Strawser (CMH).

Supporters of our 2025-2026 season include the Greater Columbus Arts Council, the Ohio Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Columbus Foundation.

About the artists:

The Sonic Network Arts Project explores the extension of instruments and modes of performance into new, imaginative realms of action and interaction. They are interested in the relationships between the real and the imagined –the ways in which the visceral world of sound and sound production inform our imagined worlds of sound, and the ways our imagined worlds, in turn, inform our concrete experiences. The group works with sound and image and the relationships among improvised and variously scored works – from “traditionally” scored to graphic and text scores.

Tim Kaiser is an experimental musician and instrument builder who has been expanding the definition of music for over 40 years.

Chris Weldon engages in creative endeavors for you to see, hear, taste and recall for decades now.
