Nikki and Matt Swift are Columbus, Ohio artists who work in a wide range of forms and modes with a primary focus on black box and white box audio visual exhibition. Their past works have been presented in domestic and international venues, installed as part of local community festivals, and curated as part of several Columbus events, solo exhibitions, and group shows. As a team, the artist’s work through an investigation of current socio-political topics ranging from translation of still arts to moving arts, health and urban environment, human versus robotic art creation, and more.
For this Live Vids for Covid live-stream, Nikki and Matt Swift exhibited an audio/visual performance focused on a tableau of several decades of audio/visual creation and playback technology. The tableau will be exhibited through curated camera and audio manipulation to lead audiences through a set of themes found throughout the past year of work that the team has been putting together while isolating during the Covid-19 pandemic.
