For this workshop that took place in April 2018, in which we partnered with Cap City Biohackers, participants “drew” with color-producing microbes to create splashes of color on a ‘living’ work of art. They learned about four types of pigmented bacteria, Micrococcus luteus(yellow), Rhodococcus rhodochrous (pink), Sarcina aurantiaca(orange-yellow), and Serratia marcescens D1 (red) and had the opportunity to “draw” with them in a petri dish.
