Workshop: Make an electric canjo (banjo made from a tin can) + other instruments (NOTE: all canjos spoken for)

November 8, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Registrations are closed.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to make an electric canjo out of a tin can, sanded wood fingerboard, eye screws, acoustic guitar strings, and a piezo pickup soldered to short cord with a 1/4″ jack. If you wish to make another instrument instead, other options include: electric bobby pin thumb piano, PVC snake charmer, and copper wind chimes. The workshop will begin with a short discussion about sound vibration and rhythm to help participants experiment with sound on their instruments and create rhythm patterns.
