On the evening of Saturday, October 12th we are proud to present James Rosato’s experimental ambient project Hypnagogue (MA), David Reed and Ty Owen’s dark ambient duo project Fatal Gaze (CMH), and experimental electronic multi-instrumentalist Reon Moebius’ solo project The Jesus Fish Experience. Hypnagogue is the ambient/experimental project of James Rosato, who is based in Massachusetts.
Fatal Gaze makes noisy dark ambient music. Fatal Gaze is Columbus, Ohio based musicians Ty Owen (Hadak Ura, Death Beef) and David Reed (Envenomist, Luasa Raelon).
The Jesus Fish Experience is the long running solo venture of multi instrumentalist & East Coast transplant Reon Moebius, co-founder of the internet label Argali Records. A full length album: ‘Baptized By The Void’ was released on April 1st of 2019. Originally an abstract sound art project, JFE has morphed into a lush, atmospheric and sweeping affair incorporating bowed electric strings, hypnotic drum machine sequencing, and haunted vocals. Sonically conducting a balancing act between the paradoxical austere minimalist arrangements and the evocatively otherworldly nature of their scope: JFE’s output is emotionally affecting, mercurial, intensely involving, but always unforgettable.
