About the performers:

Hailing from Seattle, Washington, saxophonist and composer Greg Sinibaldi is one of the Northwest’s most inventive musicians, with creative output spanning jazz, experimental composition, and heavy metal. For this concert, he will play an “EWI” (which stands for Electronic Wind Instrument) through custom software which he designed and built, exploring the boundaries between the human body and electronic sound environments. Sinibaldi has collaborated with legends such as composer Gunther Schuller, clarinetist Jimmy Giuffre, and guitarist Bill Frisell, and many more. He is currently Artist in Residence at the School of Music at the University of Washington.
