About the artists:
Lea Bertucci is a New York-based composer, sound designer and performer whose work bridges performance, installation and multichannel activations of acoustic space to create unique sonic experiences. Amirtha Kidambi is the composer and bandleader of her quartet Elder Ones, with Matt Nelson, Max Jaffe and Nick Dunston and the leader of her vocal quartet Lines of Light, featuring Anaïs Maviel, Emilie Lesbros and Jean-Carla Rodea. Kidambi is also a regular collaborator of Lea Bertucci, in a voice and analog electronics duo, is a member of guitarist Mary Halvorson’s Code Girl, featured in various projects with composer and alto saxophonist Darius Jones, a longtime contributor of Charlie Looker’s early music inspired dark folk band Seaven Teares and a soloist in Pat Spadine’s analog percussion and light ensemble Ashcan Orchestra. She has collaborated and performed with New York luminaries in the experimental and creative music community including Tyshawn Sorey, Matana Roberts, Ingrid Laubrock, Maria Grand, Brandon Lopez, Daniel Carter, Sam Newsome, Trevor Dunn, Ava Mendoza, Matteo Liberatore and veteran improviser William Parker.
EnD (pronounced Eee En Dee) is an experiment in chaos. Their mission has been one of constant change. Always seeking out new tools, both sonically and visually, EnD strives to give the audience a new experience every time. Improvisation is the key to keeping it fresh. No two shows are ever the same. Even the projected visuals are played randomly. Pure chaos. EnD is Eddie Jackson, on his ever evolving collection of noise toys and mixing board known as Soundlab, and Damon Palyka, using his baritone and 12 string guitars run through his elaborate pedal board and hand built effects and synth units called ZOD.
Jeremy dePrisco (aka Shivasongster) is a Pennsylvania musician, composer, performer, and sound artist using improvisation, collaboration, and noise to examine and recontextualize the alienation inherent in media influence, socially constructed reality, conspiracy, and myth. He works with field recordings, guitar, electronics, synthesizers, radios, found sounds, home-made gadgets, and processed video. A fixture in the electro-music community for the past decade, Jeremy currently presents solo and collaborative sound explorations throughout the Tristate area.
Devin Copfer is a performer, recording musician, registered Suzuki teacher, and arts entrepreneur based in Columbus, OH. For this live-stream, she will be performing Takehisa Kosugi’s Plus/Minus. Devin currently serves as Concertmaster of the McConnell Arts Center Chamber Orchestra, as Assistant Concertmaster of the Newark Granville Symphony Orchestra, and as violinist for Columbus’ Janus String Quartet. She is the Co-Founder and Director of Chamber Brews, a chamber music ensemble committed to breaking down the barriers within classical music.
