Also known as Nicolas Huguet, Jimmy Virani has been playing the theremin since 2006, after discovering it watching science fiction movies. A multi-instrumentalist drawn towards strange sounds, he lives in the volcanic area of France, moonlights as an Exotica and Hawaiian music DJ, is a fan of Polynesian pop culture and collects tikis, wooden glasses, records and art modeste. He enjoys sporting a beard, raising snails and practicing the art of mixology. His first solo album entitled “Jimmy Virani is Beachcombing in Outer Space” came out in 2009.
