In this workshop, students will gain basic understanding of working with recorded audio and found sounds, creating interesting, layered compositions. We will explore topics such as audio splicing, processing, along with basic compositional considerations such as layering, foreground and background, and creating structural
events.
Some experience in audio recording (even with free phone apps), as well as basic digital production experience helpful but not required. Students may use any DAW they are currently comfortable with, or they are welcome to download the free application.
