SUMMARY:[POSTPONED] Workshop: Intro To Creative Coding with Touchdesigner
DESCRIPTION:About the workshop\nIn this Workshop\, we’ll be learning the basics of creative coding with Touchdesigner\, a powerful (and freee!) multimedia development platform used by industry professionals to create stunning real-time immersive art installations\, special effects for live events\, and interactive electronics experiences. The class will begin with an overview of the environment\, and a road map for thinking about coding problems visually\, as well as some tips and resources to make your learning experience easier. After that\, we’ll build some real time art with the software\, and discuss ideas about how to make interactive digital experiences that engage people. We’ll end by optimizing our project\, and building a simple interface to control our art. \nThis workshop is completely self-contained and requires no previous coding experience\, although a familiarity with basic digital art techniques will provide a firmer foundation for learning Touchdesigner. All you need to bring is a laptop. This workshop will be conducted collaboratively and attendees are welcome to bring ideas about projects they’d like to accomplish. We’ll discuss ways that Touchdesigner can help make those ideas a reality. \nAbout the Instructor\nPhil Liddell is the Technical Director for Otherworld.
