SUMMARY:Workshop: Game Art with VR and AR
DESCRIPTION:Workshop instructor: Andrew Frueh \nThere has never been a better time to get into Virtual Reality (VR). Artist Andrew Frueh uses the freely available software Blender and Unity to create portable virtual experiences. He will demo some of his own work\, and the complete workflow to go from 3D modeling to producing the run-time game environment needed to build a working VR experience. There will also be a discussion of the difference between Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality (AR) as well as a demo on possible workflows for AR and some of the current limitations and exciting new avenues. \n[Note: this workshop is open to art students enrolled at OSU Mansfield only]. \nAbout the instructor:\nAndrew Frueh is an artist and teacher living in Columbus OH. He uses a range of technology in his work including robotics\, fabrication\, and game design. Andrew is deeply committed to teaching and works with non-profit and for-profit organizations to help students in the Columbus area have access to technical training to expand their career options. He has also worked developing curriculum and lesson plans to help teachers deliver STEM related topics more effectively.
