SUMMARY:Workshop: Basic web design with CSS
DESCRIPTION:Workshop instructor: Paul Dehnbostel\nWorkshop fee: $35 \nThis workshop covers the basics of CSS 3\, a powerful language used to create layout and design for web pages. Without CSS\, the web would not be nearly as pretty! Best of all\, CSS is easy to learn and was designed so that everyone – even non-programmers – can do it. No fancy programs are needed\, just Notepad and a web browser. This workshop is designed to be a hands-on experience for beginners with some previous HTML experience (like our HTML 5 Crash Course workshop). In addition to discussing what CSS is and how it works\, we will cover topics such as font and color changes\, and the box model. \nThis BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) workshop is for beginners; no previous experience with computer programming or web design is required\, although a basic understanding of HTML is helpful. Laptops must have a text editor and a browser.
