DESCRIPTION:On the evening of Wednesday\, July 2nd\, we are proud to host pedal steel guitarist Luke Schneider (TN)\, new age and psych-Americana project Pure Waves (MA/MT)\, and Brian Werstler and Bill Stoner’s experimental electronic music duo Yul Brynner’s Ghost(CMH). Doors 6:30pm\, show begins at 7:00pm. $10 prepaid\, $15 at the door. \nAbout the artists: \nA native of Dayton\, Ohio\, Luke Schneider is a pedal steel guitarist based in Tennessee. Over the past three decades he has established himself as an in-demand session and touring musician across the Outlaw Country\, Indie/DIY\, and experimental scenes in Nashville. Most recently\, He has found his place in the landscape of New Age and pastoral Americana music. His well-received debut solo album\, ‘Altar of Harmony’ (Third Man Records)\, is a collection of cinematic ambient compositions created entirely by pedal steel. In the years since\, Luke has continued his experimental elevation of the pedal steel guitar and delved deeper into meditative and calming sounds. In 2025\, He will be touring in support of two releases\, a solo EP titled ‘For Dancing in Quiet Light’ via Leaving Records\, and a duo record with modular synthesist Jamie Lidell titled ‘A Companion for the Spaces Between Dreams’ via Northern Spy Records. Amongst many others\, Luke Schneider has performed and collaborated with William Tyler\, Hayden Pedigo\, Orville Peck\, Soccer Mommy\, Margo Price\, Lambchop\, SG Goodman\, and Peter One. \nPure Waves is an ambient new age and psych-Americana project from long-time collaborators Keith Dusoe (Easthampton\, MA) and Jay Fiske (Missoula\, MT). Inspired by both embodied movement practices as well as experiences in deep nature\, Pure Waves composes soundscapes that transcribe and inspire elemental motion: layered horizons of analog synth with scattered passing clouds of pedal steel. Their debut album ‘Be Yourself Out There’ was mastered by Chuck Johnson and released on Akashic Records in late 2024. \nColumbus musicians Bill Stoner and Brian Werstler\, on cello and guitar\, make up the lo-fi\, ambient duo Yul Brynner’s Ghost. The music is entirely improvised and may be inspired by other art\, the days events\, the spiritual\, or perhaps a bad burrito.
