DESCRIPTION:On the evening of Wednesday\, August 14th we are proud to present Jamison Williamson (FL) and Patrizia Finzi’s (Luxemborg) free/doom duo Book 4\, performance artist/experimental musician Nick Weckman (CMH)\, and experimental electronic group Nyctalopia (CMH). Doors 7:30pm\, show begins at 8:00pm. Performance will take place at the Old First Presbyterian Church (1101 Bryden Rd. 43205). $8.00 online\, $10 at the door. \nAbout the artists: \nBOOK 4\, a free/doom duo with bari sax player Jamison Williams\, and electric bassist Patrizia Finzi\, is a ritualistic commemoration\, paying homage to British occultist and writer\, Aleister Crowley…”The Magician works in a Temple; the Universe\, which is [be it remembered!] conterminous with himself.” \nNick Weckman has a zest for life and is excited to share a new sound that stems from his love for the avant garde as he constructs a vocal sound fortress of made up languages that integrate with dance and story-telling. \nNyctalopia spontaneously composes the soundtrack to a yet-to-be imagined retro sci-fi film franchise.
