SUMMARY:Intro to Ableton Live Boot Camp
DESCRIPTION:In this comprehensive foundational class in Ableton Live\, our instructor\, a highly experienced producer-musician\, will guide students through the building blocks of electronic music making. Over the course of six weeks\, students will receive hands-on personalized instruction and immediate feedback while learning a range of skills such as creating beats\, rhythms\, loops\, and custom audio tracks\, arranging compositions\, mixing and remixing\, effects processing\, production and post-production\, and more in this professional software. The students will have the opportunity to practice and record with custom Eurorack modular synthesizers\, and analog and digital keyboard synthesizers. Our ultimate goal is for students to develop the skills to be comfortable with Ableton Live\, to be able to build upon what they have learned\, and produce music independently in creative ways. \nThe dates of this course are as follows (each session takes place on a Saturday\, is held in the Cultural Arts Center 3rd floor classroom\, and meets from 9am-12noon): \nOctober 28\nNovember 4\nNovember 18\nDecember 2\nDecember 9\nDecember 16 \nAbout the instructors \nDr. Chelsea Bruno has released album collections of her compositions under her artist alias\, Eden Grey\, since 2009. She has researched electronic music for her Masters’ in Music Technology from 2011-2014 at Florida International University and earned her PhD in Music Composition at Royal Holloway\, University of London from 2014-2020.
