Publicity
This can be done as early as when the workshop is planned and a date fixed, or just after a lesson plan is ready and teaching materials have been decided on.
Things to do:
1. Write up a description
2. Create a workshop page on this site
3. Create a Facebook event
4. Spread the word (twitter, email, etc)
A good workshop description is essential to helping potential attendees decide whether this is something they’re interested in, setting appropriate expectations for what people will learn, and helping people have a smooth workshop experience. Be sure to document
- Workshop title
- Workshop description (what you will learn)
- Audience (what you will need to know already – skills, tools, etc.)
- Requirements (materials – what you will have to bring to the workshop; include any preparatory instructions; describe what will be provided)
- Other workshops of interest (or follow-ups)
- Date & Time
- Location/Venue (include directions or a link to google maps, or link to the venue directly)
- Instructor
- Cost
