Workshop Planning
Hi! We’re thrilled you want to teach a workshop. Planning a successful workshop takes a little bit of planning, and, if you’ve never taught one before, a little more work than you expect.
Planning
1. Propose a workshop
2. Create a lesson plan
3. Create/gather teaching materials & tools
4. Determine space, environment & infrastructure requirements
5. Have a review session
6. Market it, spread the word
During the Workshop
7. Setup the space
8. Teach!
9. Hang out (optional)
After the Workshop
10. Reference Documentation
11. Follow up (optional)
We’ll help you do all of this, of course! While it sounds intimidating, going through these steps actually makes it easier to conduct a stress-free workshop. If you’ve never taught a workshop before, don’t worry – we’ll walk you through everything. Expect a total commitment of about roughly 20 hours of planning to teach a single 3-hour workshop.
