On the evening of Wednesday, August 28th we are proud to present Jason Anthony Harris’ noise art project Public Speaking (NYC), Danielle Milam’s experimental electronic music project VERSIONING, and experimental electronic musician galen tipton (CMH). Doors 7:30, BYOB, all ages. $5-$10.

About the artists:

Brooklyn’s Public Speaking is the soulful noise project of sound artist and songwriter Jason Anthony Harris. Live, he uses voice, found objects, radio, synth, and tape recorder, poring over pedals to loop, warp and augment these sources.

VERSIONING is Danielle Milam, previously known as Sea Tone. VERSIONING can be described as experimental electronic that flirts between ambient and noise soundscapes.

galen tipton is a queer nonbinary artist currently based out of Columbus, Ohio. Their work explores relationships between the assumed-to-be “natural” and the “unnatural,” queerness and identity, ethical utopias and eco futurism, the repurposing of waste and excess, as well as the nuances of intimacy between things living and not living. Their work is often childish and triumphant, embracing minimalism and maximalism simultaneously— always with a strong sense of play.
