On the evening of Monday, August 12th we are proud to present Robert Pepper’s experimental electronic music project Pas Musique (NYC), Chicago-based noise trio Memory Dregs (ORD), and noise art duo Death Grippos (CMH). Doors 7:30, BYOB, all ages. $5-$10.

About the artists:

Pas Musique emerged from Brooklyn, New York in 1995 as a solo project of founder Robert L. Pepper and has since gone through many variations of experimental, electronic iterations. In 2018, Pas Musique remain as a four piece consisting of Jon V Worthley, Michael Durek, Jesse Fairbairn, and Robert Pepper, pursuing the musical elements of electronic, experimental music with krautrock undertones. Pas Musique have collaborated with many great musicians which include Faust, Rapoon, ZEV, Philippe Petit, HATI, Chester Hawkins, Jim Tuite, and many more. Pas Musique have performed in 18 countries and all throughout the United States.

Memory Dregs is the trio of Alexander Adams, Alexander Maerbach, & Rush Falknor. A tripped-out guitar/drums/alto sax ruckus that scrapes the nerves itching to twitch. Battery work pummels us along with scraping guitar razorsharp gashes as fully automatic saxophone rips through – the pitch-shifts and the breath spirals into the void; atmospheric, consuming, suffocating. Psychedelic Fire Music.

Death Grippos is found sounds, plunderphonics, mangled synthesizers and alien vocals set to trash can beats.
