Ticket sales for this event are closed.

On the evening of Saturday, February 22 we are proud to present avant-garde electric guitarist Ben Miller (DET), experimental electronic musician/moving image artist Adam McKinley (CMH), and experimental electronic musician Doug Leed. Doors 7:30, BYOB, all ages. $5-$10.

About the artists:

Ben Miller is an American rock and avant garde guitarist born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and now based in Detroit. He has formerly been a member of such Detroit/Ann Arbor bands as Sproton Layer, Destroy All Monsters,[1] and non-fiction. Destroy All Monsters, in particular, still a cult favorite, was a big part of the proto-punk, punk, and post-punk Detroit rock scene, featuring such bands as the MC5, the Stooges, Sonic’s Rendezvous Band, and Up. His current projects include the Sensorium Chamber Orchestra of Detroit and Porcelain Hammer.

Adam McKinley is a Columbus based electronic musician and visual artist, and one third of the ambient improv trio Tone Elevator. Subduction is an audio visual project that pairs dark dronescapes with hypnotic, abstract, analog style video synthesis.

Doug Leed (a.k.a. Dogboy) is an extemporaneous instrumentalist from Columbus. Having played guitar in traditional rock bands for over 30 years, he now also plays a combination of touch pad synthesizers, loopers, and effects pedals to create psychedelic and experimental soundscapes. His music can be described as the space section of a live Grateful Dead performance meets improvised electronica.
