Make your own printed circuit board and create an ambient RGB lamp!
Location: Wild Goose Creative (2491 Summit St. Cols OH 43202 – parking and directions
Time: 11:00am – 2:00pm
Workshop level: Beginner
Instructor: Shawn Auguston
Cost: $60 if you have an arduino, $90 if you need an arduino (children under 18 are FREE – two max, please)
In this workshop, participants will learn how to create a circuit design using CAD software and then etch their own printed circuit board (PCB). What is a PCB?
In addition to creating a PCB, participants will use the PCB to create an RGB Ambient light that can be programmed with an Arduino microcontroller board. You can view an example of the RGB Ambient light here! Please note that the board in the video is a prototype design. Participants will actually be designing a more professional PCB board
This class involves the use of chemicals, so please wear old clothing. In addition, participants will need to bring a laptop. If you do not have a laptop, we have a few available. To reserve a laptop, please email us.
You can preload the CAD and Arduino software onto your laptop prior to the workshop. You also have the option to have the instructor assist with software installation during the workshop. If you want to download the software prior to the workshop, please visit these sites:
