Do you have a child who wants to learn how to create computer animations and computer games? The Fuse Factory is offering a workshop for kids to learn Scratch, a computer application developed at the MIT Media Lab expressly for the young and the young-at-heart. The purpose of Scratch is to teach the concepts of computer programming while providing tools to create interactive stories, games, art, and music. It also provides Scratch users with an online space where they can share their creations with the rest of the world!

This workshop is suitable for children in the elementary and middle school grades. It is strongly recommended that children aged 12 and under be accompanied by an adult. Participants are required to bring a laptop if they have one, but if they do not, six laptops are available (NOTE: five laptops have been reserved). To reserve a laptop, please contact the instructor.
