Digital storytelling workshop series part II

Cost: $65 for all three workshops in the series – no need to register for all three separately
In this 3-part workshop series, participants will be introduced to digital storytelling (both audio and visual) and led through the process of creating a digital story of their own. The first session will focus on the art and craft of oral storytelling, and participants will write and share a story based on a meaningful theme of their choice. The second session will focus on audio recording, sampling, and mixing with the open source software program Audacity, and participants will record and mix with background sounds and music the story they wrote the previous week. In the third session, participants will use Windows Media Player or iMovie to combine their audio with digital photos or short video clips to create a finished digital story.
Participants are required to bring a laptop and a pair of headphones to the second and third workshop sessions. Microphones will be provided at the second workshop session. There are five laptop + microphone + headphone sets available – please email us if you would like to reserve a set.
