Create a stop-motion animation

Cost: $35 ($25 for instruction, $10 for supplies) – children under 18 accompanied by an adult are FREE (3 max, please)
Come and create your own hands on expression one frame at a time!
This workshop will focus on the exploration and creation of object animation using materials you can find at home. Students will work in teams to produce short animated clips, which will be compiled at the end of the class as a sequence. Some of the concepts covered will include straight-ahead and pose to pose animation, easing, squash and stretch, exaggeration, and timing.
Objects, software, equipment, lights and tools to produce the final animation will be provided.
Please bring a sketch book or some paper and a pencil. You may email the instructor if you have any questions about the workshop.
About the instructor: Jennifer is an experimental animator and interactive designer from Columbus, Ohio. She studied Time-Based Media at the Columbus College of Art and Design and is a Senior Interactive Designer at Blue Diesel in Westerville. Her love of creativity, art, technology and teaching led her to the Fuse Factory in 2007. In her spare time she creates animated, interactive and public art works through her own studio, the Itty-Bitty Studio.
