This workshop will focus on gaining basic familiarity with a host of freeware Windows applications used to make and/or work with sound; bouncing balls, fractals, bitmaps converted to sound waves, and a little bit of everything in between. Participants should be armed with an open-ended desire to experiment. Participants are also strongly encouraged to bring a wireless-enabled laptop (Windows), although there will be some laptops and desktop computers available. About the Instructor: Sam is a Columbus-based artist who experiments with video, sound, and installations. He also works with adults with autism under the auspices of RMS Management, Tnc.
