Workshop description: This workshop is for anybody who explains or teaches (or hopes to teach) technological systems and/or processes to others. Topics to be covered include:
• Knowing your audience
• Structuring your workshop/presentation
• Learning styles and modalities
• Presenting universally
• Using metaphor effectively
• Using Powerpoint effectively
This workshop is for beginners – no previous teaching experience is necessary! Be prepared to engage in lively discussions, laugh at snarky videos (and be enthralled by informative ones), and gain confidence in your ability to clearly and effectively communicate technological concepts to anyone. Even your grandma!
